Emily Wray, PhD

Biographical Information

Dr. Emily Wray is a psychologist who works with children and adolescents with a wide range of presenting concerns. She earned her doctorate from the University of Florida and completed her clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Wray has expertise in comprehensive assessment and treatment of developmental disabilities, learning challenges, and psychiatric conditions. In particular, she specializes in conducting diagnostic assessments and therapy for children and teens with autism spectrum disorders. Furthermore, she has strengths in conducting evaluations and developing and implementing interventions for youth with mood disorders, anxiety, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, neurocognitive dysfunction, and special learning needs. In addition to providing direct services to clients, Dr. Wray has particular interest in providing consultation to teachers, families, and other professionals in order to help others better understand the culture of autism and other developmental and psychiatric conditions. Teachers, parents, and family members can best facilitate success for loved ones with disabilities by understanding their unique thinking and learning patterns.
