I view counseling as a collaboration between client and therapist where we work together to work through challenges of thoughts, feelings and behavior. I believe in providing a warm, accepting environnment that allows people the space to express themselves and work through their challenges.
Professional Biography
Scott Seguin has worked in the Triangle area for the past 15 years in a variety of settings in various roles including therapy, administration and clinical supervision.
Scott earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kent State University and his master’s degree in Substance Abuse and Clinical counseling at East Carolina University and is a licensed professional counselor and a licensed clinical addictions specialist.
Scott has worked in a variety of settings as a counselor and as an administrator, most recently as the clinical director at a local psychiatric hospital.
He is passionate about providing people the space to experience true healing in their lives, and he believes that people have the capacity to make amazing progress when they feel heard and understood. Scott has expertise working with addiction, anxiety and mood disorders and utilizes motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy in his practice.
