As a licensed clinical social worker, I offer counseling to adolescents, young adults, and adults who are experiencing life difficulties. Before joining HRC, I provided counseling to adults at the UNC Department of Psychology Community Clinic and supported undergraduate students through DukeReach at Duke University. I received my graduate training at the UNC School of Social Work, which has been named one of the top five social work programs in the country by US News & World Report, and I have completed the mindfulness-based stress reduction course at UNC’s Program on Integrative Medicine.
My work at HRC includes the LAUNCHING Program, which empowers young adults who are having significant difficulties with maintaining social relationships, focusing their attention, and achieving their goals.
Before beginning graduate school, I did community development work in Raleigh at Passage Home. I am passionate about supporting the well-being of people and the places where we live.
It is my goal to provide a safe place for you to bring your pain, uncertainty, and questions as we work together to support your healing and growth.
I provide therapeutic approaches that are supported by research evidence and that seek to build on your strengths and values. I work with people from different cultural backgrounds and am LGBTQ affirmative.
