Professional Biography:

Dr. Jobsis has studied and worked in the field of psychology since 1968. In 1971 she received her PhD in Clinical Psychology and joined the Department of Psychiatry at North Carolina Memorial Hospital as Assistant Professor with a joint appointment as Clinical Psychologist at the Orange-Person-Chatham Mental Health Center. In 1974, Dr. Jobsis was appointed Director of the Chatham County Mental Health Services and in 1976, she was appointed interim Director of the full tri-county Mental Health Program. From 1977 to the present time, Dr. Jobsis has been in full-time private practice in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She was also a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, (1980-1999) providing supervision for psychiatric residents.

Personal Statement:

Dr. Jobsis is married and has several children and grandchildren. Her personal interests include oil painting and managing the family farm.
