Professional Biography:
I am a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology (FAClinP), a Past President of the American Psychological Association and a Fellow of both the American Psychological Association and the Society for Personality Assessment. Currently, I serve as a Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychology at UNC-CH and have held faculty positions at the Ohio State University School of Medicine and at Wright State University where I was founding Dean of Ohio’s first School of Professional Psychology. I was the 1994 recipient of the American Psychological Foundation award for distinguished contributions to the profession. My books include “The Change Equation: Capitalizing on Diversity for Effective Organizational Change,” “Abnormal Psychology,” and “Patients View Their Psychotherapy.” Now serving as Executive Director of HRC’s organizational division, The Consulting Group.

Throughout my clinical career my emphasis has always been on empowering individuals, families and organizations to maximally utilize their own resources in order to enhance the quality of daily life.
